Since the area is totally rural and some distance from any towns; the closest schools are Torbanlea Primary which is about 10kms away and Hervey Bay High School which is approx 14kms. There is a school bus service (limited vicinity) available. Of course, Hervey Bay is only twenty minutes by car and Maryborough is also another option.

Since this is a rural acreage area, you will certainly need a car in as there is no public transport (except for school bus run).

The closest main shops are located at Eli Waters Shopping Centre at about a 15-20 minute drive or Stockland Shopping Centre at about 20-25 minutes. Craignish Hotel / Golf Club & Toogoom are also close by.

Where is Takura QLD?

Takura, home to the Vernon State Forest and bordering the Vernon Conservation Park is a very large area south of Toogoom and Craignish; crossing Hervey Bay Burrum Heads Rd and Torbanlea Pialba Rd towards Maryborough Urangan Rd and Dundowran Rd Junction; west from Nikenbah. If you have ever dreamed of a Hervey Bay rural lifestyle, this may be the location for you to make that dream a reality.

Takura QLD is tranquil, private, and secluded but certainly not isolated as there are other homes around but not right on your doorstep. Hervey Bay and Maryborough are less than thirty minutes by car and the smaller townships of Howard and Torbanlea are only about fifteen minutes away.

Vernon State Forest offers trails that are ideal for walking, running, and bikes allowing visitors to explore the undulating hilly environment of open eucalyptus forests and woodlands. The Craignish Hotel / Golf Club is not too far away if you feel like a cold beer, meal, or a round of golf.

Takura Hervey Bay Rural Advantages

There are many obvious advantages to choosing Hervey Bay rural real estate that is very close to town rather than in the middle of nowhere.  A rural spacious lifestyle without sacrificing convenience immediately springs to mind. There are other important factors to consider when comparing rural properties for sale as many areas are prone to drought, bush fires and flooding. Be sure that you check potential risk factors that may be problematic with certain acreage homes and/or bush blocks for sale.

A rural lifestyle is attractive to many home buyers with freedom, space, and a strong sense of community at the top of their lifestyle choices list. Having Hervey Bay, Maryborough, Howard, and Torbanlea close by to access necessary facilities certainly provide the best of both worlds. You may also like to look at Burrum Heads, Howard or Torbanlea.
